8 April 2024 (Hong Kong) – The Hong Kong International Film Festival has announced its 49th edition will take place from 10 to 21 April 2025.
The announcement comes after the Asian premiere of All The Long Nights, the latest film by Miyake Sho, which marked the end of the 12-day HKIFF48 this year. Acclaimed for And Your Bird Can Sing and Small, Slow but Steady, Miyake returned to HKIFF after a five-year absence. After the screening, he met the audience at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and shared his creative experience on All The Long Nights, which tells the tender story of a redemptive connection between two alienated souls in Tokyo.
Following HKIFF48’s conclusion, Cine Fan will present its May/June/July programmes, showcasing the deadpan comedy of Aki Kaurisma ki, psychedelic cinema, and Godfrey Reggio’s The Qatsi Trilogy, among others. For the complete Cine Fan programme and screening schedule, please visit the official website at https://cinefan.com.hk.hk. The public can purchase tickets at URBTIX outlets. All tickets for screenings at Broadway Cinematheque are exclusively available at its venue and website.
