Kuala Lumpur, 2 Nov – Local production PAPA, COME HOME proudly kicks off its “Who Is Your HERO” campaign to motivate students to make their dedications to the “hero” of their life. This joint effort with Lions Club will see the movie working closely with schools to give away postcards for students to make their dedications to their “hero” figure. There is a total of 50 primary schools involved in this campaign. In line with the movie that emphasizes the bond between a father and son, the campaign aims to educate the young on the spirit of appreciation.

The “PAPA, COME HOME Who Is Your HERO” contest aims to foster better understanding between the young and their parents or guardians. Through this exercise, parents and guardians will be able to comprehend their image and projection in the eyes of their young ones. The contest is set to start from 28th October to 20th November. The students of the participating schools will each get a postcard and a contest form, in which they can make a dedication to their “heroes” of their life. The selected top 3 winners will walk away with prizes worth: RM8,000 (first prize), RM5,000 (second prize) and RM3,000 (third prize), while the 3 schools from which the 3 winners are registered will each get a RM5,000 donation.


In the kick off ceremony of the campaign, executive producer cum lead cast Jack Lim and director Nick Wong represented the movie to present a RM50,000 contribution to the 50 primary schools. The school visits have officially started on 28th Oct with the first visit to SJK(C) Kuen Cheng 1 followed by SJK(C) Tai Thung and SJK (C) Taman Connaught. The activities include free eye examination by A-Look for all Standard One students, Anti-Drug Talk by PDRM and giveaway of Yakult cultured milk drink. Students were also treated to live performance of the movie theme songs by Jieying Tha who is the female lead in the movie, as well as Juztin Lan.  All participants can log on to for more information.


PAPA, COME HOME is a black humour story of a father, Tong Bo and son, Tong Zai. The movie aims at expressing the meaning of love between father and son. The story strives to reflect the dilemma of a father who struggles between his job in the underworld, his drug addiction and parental love. The dangers and negative impact of drugs to the society are highlighted. Emphasizing on the importance of child education & parental love,  PAPA, COME HOME will be coming to cinemas nationwide on this coming 7th December.
