Lending Mother Earth a Helping Hand is as Easy as BROS 321

- BROS 321 Bottle Trade-in Programme to help reduce Malaysia?s carbon foot print
– Bring in an old water bottle and get 50% discount on brand new BROS water bottles
– Programme makes recycling easy, and encourages the use of highly reusable water bottles

Petaling Jaya, 24 October 2014 – Bring back the old school! Not too many years ago, when things were spoilt, we fixed them, and when things were old, we did not throw them out. Instead we continued to use them or we found ways to recycle them. Those were the habits to help Mother Earth.

Fast forward to today. Reusing and recycling are still good ideas. And clearing clutter and lending Mother Earth a helping hand is still always a good exercise. Now, if you happened to be thinking of clearing out that old water bottle, the timing could not be more perfect!

Going on right now is the BROS 321 Bottle Trade-in Programme. BROS is accepting old water bottles of any brand, material, size (except for PET bottles) for recycling at BROS recycling points. Customers who take this proactive green step will be rewarded with a 50% discount on a brand new BROS water bottle. Through the program, BROS is inviting Malaysians to help reduce Malaysia?s carbon print and contribute towards a greener earth.

The BROS 321 Bottle Trade-in Programme, which derived its name from 3 acts (reduce, reuse, recycle) to (2) love 1 earth, was first held in 2010. The programme started as an initiative to encourage Malaysians to be early adopters of safe reusable water bottles rather than (one-time-use) disposable plastic water bottles. All BROS water bottles are made from materials that are BPA free and comply with standards of US FDA and German LFGB; both certified organisations that are internationally recognised. BROS has decided to bring it back again this year after overwhelming request from customers.

BROS – Living Wing Sdn Bhd Business Development Director, Terence Lee Soon Teck said, “We have been inspired by many Malaysians who came forward and traded in their old water bottles for brand new BROS water bottles to do their part to save the environment. It is very heartening to see Malaysians adopting a recycling habit. This one step will go a long way towards a greener earth.”

“The emphasis on the environment has been the cornerstone that brought about the establishment of BROS in 2004. We are committed to saving Mother Earth by motivating Malaysians to use reusable water bottles instead of disposable water bottles. Over the years, we have enjoyed the privilege of nurturing a sense of responsibility in the community for the environment. We need to invest and reduce the carbon footprint for the sake of the next generation,” he continued.

“I believe this is a good move from BROS to do a recycling programme like BROS 321 Bottle Trade-in Programme. I was actually wondering what to do with my old, scratched and tired water bottles until I found BROS’s booth here yesterday. So, I collected a few of my old bottles at home and brought them here to recycle, and get new water bottles as replacements. We need to do our part to save the earth. By recycling our old bottles through this type of programme, we have made a little contribution to live in a greener environment,” said Adlina Azura Abd. Kadir, a BROS customer when met at the LRT Ampang Station, one of the BROS 321 Bottle Trade-in Programme roadshow venues.

A human resource personnel, Julie, is a BROS customer. She said, “I am always a fan of BROS water bottles because of its high quality products and reasonable price. When I found out from my friends that BROS is having this BROS 321 Bottle Trade-in Programme, I quickly gathered my old water bottles and came here to trade them in for new ones. This programme is very good for the environment and it is value for money. The 50% discount was a real bonus and very helpful on the wallet! I am absolutely delighted to be part of the BROS Trade-in Programme and in a small way, contribute to saving the planet.”

Malaysians who missed the earlier activities in Johor and Ampang Park LRT station, can still grab the opportunity to clear some water bottle clutter or replace old ones with new designs at 50% off the retail price at another two locations:
